La Vegueta is immersed in the festivities in honor of the Virgen de Regla, and in which the election of Miss La Vegueta and Miss Centro Sociocultural Yacomar 2013 has taken place.
The event took place in said Center, with a full house and was attended by the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, and almost all the councilors of the City Council.
The popular designer Willy Díaz was in charge of directing the gala, in which the eight candidates competed for the crown. There was also space for music, with the performance of the Calicanto group, the singer from the municipality Jenifer Hernández and the dancers Stefania and her partner.
The Miss aspirants made several parades, showing off both in bikini and in gala dress. Finally, Patricia Morales Martín won the title of Miss La Vegueta, while Nayra Portillo Marcos became the new Miss C.S.C Yacomar, in the coronation they were accompanied by the two outgoing Misses, Yadira Betancort and Noemí Pla Torres.
The crown of Queen of the Fiestas de La Regla 2013 was for Coraima Navarro Martín who was crowned by the outgoing queen Beatriz Cejas Toribio and Paula Navarro Pino and Zeneida Pérez Rodriguez obtained the title of first and second Lady of Honor respectively.
The Fiestas de la Regla continued with a verbena throughout the night with a full house and an extraordinary atmosphere.
