Francisco Delgado López from Lanzarote managed to win the award for Best Costume Design at the Goya Awards 2014 on the night of Sunday, February 9, for his participation in the film 'The Witches of Zugarramurdi'. Delgado, who could not be at the Spanish film awards gala because he was present at the filming of a new film in Chile, was the creator of the baroque and dark costumes for Álex de la Iglesia's horror film, -the second most nominated film at the Goya Awards 2014-.
It is the second time that Delgado has won one of these statuettes. Last year, the Lanzarote native won the Goya for Best Costume Design for Blancanieves, by Pablo Berger. He was also nominated in 2013 for the Oscar for best costume design for Les Miserables.
