Moisés Márquez closes his Almost a Rock and Roll tour in the Teguise tent

The singer Moisés Márquez will perform on the night of this Saturday, December 22, in the municipal tent of Teguise in the Lanzarote concert of his tour "Casi un rock and roll". The artist hopes to close here a year that he considers successful, in what he predicts will be a great concert in which "musicality and a good live performance, with a good band" will predominate. Admission is free and the start time will be from 10:30 p.m.

This young man from Gran Canaria was born in 1979 and from a young age, at 21 years old, he was already leading his first pop-rock band, which he called ' ¡Oiga Doctor! '. Already then he was characterized by making versions of great classics of Rock&Roll, Blues or Pop from the 60s and 70s, in addition to interpreting very current themes of said trend.

Influenced by bands such as "The Credence Clearwater Revival", "Bob Dylan", "Lynyrd Skynyrd", "The Rolling", "Eric Clapton" or "J. Lennon", he toured the pubs, bars and venues of the Canary archipelago providing a magnificent show with his extensive repertoire.

Parallel to the versions, he began to compose his first songs and gradually offered a personal and original show, until he finally produced "Casi un rock&roll", a project that he is now promoting and that constitutes the first record work of his career as a singer and composer.

The album, composed of ten songs, shows the way the author has of seeing and living life from a disenchanted point of view. He talks about the experiences, experiences and disagreements suffered during these years of creation and recording of the album; he talks about childhood, rebellion and growing up in a society of plastic and lies. A work that the author himself describes as "denouncing and ironic". An album full of sensations in which, as its name indicates, in addition to a lot of old-fashioned Rock&Roll, he makes small incursions into other styles such as Blues, Southern rock, rumba, Swing, Son or Pop.
