Luis Fonsi's concert will finally be held at the Arrecife Fairground, since although the Arrecife City Council has not yet confirmed the place where the show will take place, there is a security plan for the performance of the Puerto Rican singer on August 25.
This was one of the alternatives proposed by the City Council itself, as explained by the Councilor for Festivities, Encarna Páez, on Radio Lanzarote. The councilor herself pointed out that in order to hold the concert at the Fairground, the City Council would have to "remove the stainless steel sheets that fence the enclosure", and only leave "the roof of the stage".
In addition, Páez assured that the concert and the fair could coexist, and that the Puerto Rican's performance would only cause the attractions to be placed "a little further down." Likewise, the councilor maintained that the fairground owners "would not be practically affected at all" by the celebration of the concert.
Holding the concert at the Fairground will also entail, as Encarna Páez explained, "the closure of the road that accesses the facility, both the ascent and the descent that passes under the bridge". In addition, it should be remembered that given the large number of people that the City Council expects to attend the concert, "several screens" will be placed so that everyone can view the performance.
