The delays and diversions this Sunday at the Tenerife Norte Airport due to fog and wind shear have meant that more than a hundred passengers who were scheduled to fly to Lanzarote with Binter Canarias on the last day are trapped without being able to reach the island this Monday.
At this time there are a total of eight delayed flights between both islands, four bound for Lanzarote and another four to Tenerife. As a result, some travelers have shown their displeasure with shouts of "shameless" in front of the company's counters at the airport.
One of the affected passengers with whom La Voz has been able to speak and who had his flight scheduled for 7:00 p.m. this Sunday has reported that "there are people who last night had to sleep on the floor at the airport with children and elderly people, and they don't give us a solution because four flights have left this morning and only two or three people are allowed in."
"They didn't give me any solution to spend the night, I have two children and they told us to sleep on a mat outside the airport, only some have been given accommodation," he criticizes.
In this sense, he assures that the only solution that the company Binter has offered them has been "to submit complaint forms through its website." In addition, he says that the airline "does not assure them when they will be able to fly, since they are on a waiting list."
