The CIC El Almacén, dependent on the Education and Culture area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, will screen the film "Funny Games" (2007), by the Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke, a remake of the feature film of the same title that Haneke himself directed ten years earlier, in 1997. The film will be shown at the Cine Buñuel, at 9:00 p.m. Tickets for both screenings cost three euros and can be purchased at the cinema box office 30 minutes before the start of the screenings, from 8:30 p.m.

The new version of "Funny Games" differs practically nothing from the version made in 1997, except in the selection of the actors and in some shots, which change their perspective with respect to the first version. But it does not prevent the viewer who has seen the 1997 film, and especially the one who has not seen it, from feeling terrible unease about the way Haneke portrays violence.

On November 26 and 27, the film "I'm a Cyborg" by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook will be screened, a new cultural proposal from CIC El Almacén.

The plot is exactly the same, only this time instead of unknown actors, the faces of the protagonists fall on Michael Pitt, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth and Brady Corbet: a family begins their vacation, the woman Ann, the father George and his son Georgie on their way to their summer house. The neighbors, Fred and Eva, are already there. They arrange to play golf the following morning. It is a perfect day. Suddenly, Ann comes face to face with Peter, a polite young man and guest of her neighbors, who has come to ask for some eggs because Eva has run out. Ann is about to give Peter the eggs, but she has doubts. How did he get on her property? Peter explains that there is a hole in the fence, Fred showed it to him. From the beginning things seem strange. Soon, without it being very clear why, violence erupts.
