Four Lanzarote students among the best university entrance grades in the province of Las Palmas

The university degrees chosen by most of these brilliant students will be those related to Medicine, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Marketing, Data Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Engineering, and Mathematics.

Lanzarote students have recorded four of the fifteen best grades in the university entrance exams, held at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. 

92.62% (4,403) of the students who took the university entrance exam (PAU) in the June session at the various ULPGC venues have passed. Of the 4,754 students (2,733 women and 2,021 men) who took the general phase exams, a total of 2,544 women (93.08%) and 1,859 men (91.98%) were deemed suitable.

The grades are made public from this Friday, June 13, and for consultation, a direct link has been enabled through a link, which can be accessed after authentication in the MiULPGC system. Similarly, students will receive the grades by email at the address that was provided during the registration process.

Students can request a review of the exams from June 16 to 18, and the calendar indicates that the publication of the final grades will be on June 20.

  • Science and Technology: 2,540 presented, of which 95.31% were Suitable.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: 1,872 presented, of which 89.16% were Suitable.
  • Arts (Itinerary of Plastic Arts, Image and Design): 168 presented, of which 92.86% were Suitable.
  • Arts (Itinerary of Music and Performing Arts): 103 presented, of which 95.15% were Suitable.
  • General Baccalaureate: 71 presented, of which 83.10% were Suitable.

By venue, the highest percentage of passes took place at the Northern Gran Canaria venue, where 95.61% of the students qualified as Suitable. It is followed by the venues of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (94.38% suitable), Lanzarote (93.82% suitable), Southern Gran Canaria (89.55% suitable), Telde (89.40% suitable), and Fuerteventura (88.71% suitable).

 

Students with the best grades

The Rector of the ULPGC, Lluís Serra, accompanied by the Vice-Rector of Students, David Sánchez, and the Director of Access, Nicanor Guerra, today received at the Institutional Headquarters the students who have obtained the best grades in the general phase of the June session of the PAU on the island of Gran Canaria.

In total, this year, the best grades among the students presented to the PAU in all the ULPGC venues (Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote) have been achieved by 15 students: 7 women and 8 men. Of these, 10 have studied in public high schools and 5 in private schools.

The best grade this year, after achieving a 10 in the tests of the general phase of the PAU, has been obtained by the students Carolina Amieva Martel, from IES Guanarteme, and Diego José Gimeno Royo, from CPEIS Hispano Inglés. Both from centers in Gran Canaria.

The other students with the best grades in this June session have been:

  • Alejandro León Morin, from IES Tías (Lanzarote), with a 9.93 in the test
  • Petra Romero García, from IES Agustín Espinosa (Lanzarote), with a 9.93 in the test
  • Daniel Montosa Padilla, from IES Vigán (Fuerteventura), with a 9.87 in the test
  • Francisco González García, from IES Costa Teguise (Lanzarote), with a 9.87 in the test
  • Gabriela Victoria Santana Sánchez, from IES Siete Palmas (Gran Canaria), with a 9.87 in the test
  • Adriana Batista Rodríguez, from CPEIS Arenas Atlántico (Gran Canaria), with a 9.86 in the test
  • Aridane Martel González, from IES Los Tarahales (Gran Canaria), with a 9.83 in the test
  • Helena Domínguez Acosta, from CPEIS Antonio María Claret (Gran Canaria), with a 9.81 in the test
  • Diego García Mederos, from IES Agáldar (Gran Canaria), with a 9.77 in the test
  • Álvaro Moreno Basarte, from CPEIS San Antonio María Claret (Gran Canaria), with a 9.76 in the test
  • Ariadna Dafne Redondo Hortigüela, from IES Costa Teguise (Lanzarote), with a 9.75 in the test
  • Paula Espada Domínguez, from CPEIS San Antonio María Claret (Gran Canaria), with a 9.75 in the test
  • Néstor Ramos Hernández from IES Guanarteme (Gran Canaria), with a 9.72 in the test

Extraordinary session of the PAU

The ULPGC has already opened the self-registration for the extraordinary session of the PAU, whose tests will be held from July 2 to 4.

Those who want to take the exams, both for the first time and to improve grades, can complete the self-registration until June 20, through the website ulpgc.es/acceso.
