The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has decreed the alert situation due to rain for the island of Lanzarote starting at 7:00 p.m. this Tuesday afternoon.

The Executive announces the forecast of occasional rainfall from weak to moderate, without ruling out locally heavy rains during this afternoon and in the first half of Wednesday, October 16. It even does not rule out the possibility of storms in the north of the island.

Meanwhile, it has maintained the pre-alert situation for rain in La Palma and Tenerife.

According to the manager of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, Enrique Espinosa, classes and activities will be maintained for this Wednesday for the moment.
