The Association of Professional Women, Entrepreneurs and Businesswomen 'Charter 100 Lanzarote' was presented this Thursday in society with the main objective, according to the president, the Lanzarote lawyer Isabel Martinón, of "undertaking actions that contribute to the effective leadership of women who live on the island".

Charter 100 Lanzarote thus joins "the work that is already being carried out in the Canary Islands, on islands such as Gran Canaria or Tenerife, where other charter members have been working for some time to increase the leadership and visibility of women in decision-making that improves the quality of life of citizens in general and women in particular".

The inauguration ceremony, which took place at Magma Hub Innovation (Arrecife), was attended by personalities from various fields such as political, social, cultural and economic, as well as representatives of the two associations linked to the fight against violence and women's rights, Tiemar and Mararía, with which Charter 100 Lanzarote intends to establish collaborative ties. "Because we also intend to put an end to the unfair inequality that exists between both sexes," said its president.

Likewise, Martinón pointed out that the 30 members who currently make up the association, "being already influential women or with specific weight within their companies or work sectors, are committed to the objective of promoting professional development, facilitating entrepreneurship, strengthening the female weight in the business fabric, and in general, the consolidation of women in all areas of influence".
