The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands provisionally counts 6,327 new cases of Covid coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 219,283 with 86,921 active, of which 75 are admitted to the ICU and 529 remain hospitalized. In the last hours the death of 15 people has been reported: 14 in Tenerife and one in Lanzarote, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 1,613.13 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 2,839.68 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 2,866 cases with a total of 106,938 accumulated cases and 42,461 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 78,073 accumulated cases, 2,304 more than the previous day and 31,112 active. Lanzarote adds 488 new cases with 15,764 accumulated and 6,096 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 10,352 accumulated cases, with 309 new cases and 4,672 active. La Palma adds 269 new positives, so it has 5,887 accumulated and 2,134 active. La Gomera adds 42 new cases, so it has 1,257 accumulated and its assets are 231 and El Hierro adds 48 new positives, so its accumulated are 1,011 and has 214 active cases. In the count by islands, a case is pending validation.
To date, a total of 2,953,305 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 18,447 correspond to the previous day.
The Ministry of Health recalls that these data published this Saturday in the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams. In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Therefore, the data contained in this press release may vary once they are epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so in the coming days discrepancies may arise in the updating of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
