Canal Gestión Lanzarote has announced that the latest break suffered by the general supply pipe of the eighth island, detected on the afternoon of this Thursday, was repaired late in the day.
The company assures that it used its own resources, both human and material, to solve the problem, without the need to resort to divers on this occasion, since the fault was located fifteen meters from the shore of La Graciosa and at a shallow depth, between 1 and 2 meters.
In this way, the company indicates that after verifying during the night a correct operation of this pipe that carries water from Lanzarote to the deposits of La Graciosa, "the supply to the population has been opened at 6 in the morning".
However, from Canal Gestión they warn that the "complete normality" in the home supply "will be delayed", and that it is foreseeable that the usual 12-hour service "cannot be offered, as time is needed for the deposits to load with the appropriate levels, the secondary pipes work correctly and with the appropriate pressures after inactive hours, and other problems and incidents that may occur in particular connections that prevent the arrival of water"·.
Canal Gestión Lanzarote also adds that it "deeply regrets the great inconveniences and annoyances that the residents and visitors of La Graciosa are suffering", hoping that "as soon as possible, and among all, a definitive solution can be given".
