The Tías Volunteer Firefighters Association, Boluntis, has organized a project for young people between 12 and 18 years old, in which they will receive training in almost everything related to the fire service.

“It's not only educational but also fun and welcoming!”, say the volunteers, who even state that at 18 years old young people will have the opportunity to “enter the Lanzarote volunteer fire brigade.”

Young people will enjoy different activities twice each week, and there will even be an afternoon or morning practice. “You will learn real fire extinguishing tasks and use all the firefighters' materials, including going with the fire truck”, explain the volunteers.

Together with the other young people, the participants will work as a team and carry out “challenging tasks”. “In addition to the exercises, theoretical classes, courses such as firefighting, first aid, lifeguard, diving and competitions, other activities will be organized, such as interesting excursions in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura”, they detail from "Boluntis".

In addition, Boluntis states that they will be provided with protective gear and firefighter clothing, and that they will be able to use real firefighter materials from the fire station. “They also get access to teaching and learning material that is in an electronic learning environment”, they conclude.
