"To remember is to relive". These emotional words belong to one of the first protagonists in the history of Radio Lanzarote, Armando de León. The journalist and lawyer has recalled the experiences of the early years of the radio on Más de Uno Lanzarote, with Techy Acosta, accompanied by Francisco González. Armando de León's arrival at Radio Lanzarote was the result of a chance meeting with its founder Juan Perdomo.

De León emphasized the cultural dimension of Radio Lanzarote in its beginnings. "People don't know the dimension that Radio Lanzarote had at that time", says De León, who fondly remembers the programs and cultural events that took place during his years at the station, as well as the production of fiction content such as radio dramas or the oral magazine "Onda Lanzarote".

Among other anecdotes and audios from the time, the guests recalled how the Francoist censorship worked, which "recommended" not playing songs by artists such as Serrat and Víctor Manuel.

Armando de León had the opportunity to conduct the first interview with César Manrique in November 1973, coinciding with the inauguration of the Mirador del Río. An excerpt from this interview could be heard on the program, 49 years later.
