Aemet establishes an orange warning and several yellow warnings for high temperatures and wind in Lanzarote

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts temperatures of up to 37 degrees on the island and winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established yellow and orange warnings for wind and high temperatures for this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Lanzarote.

Likewise, the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert for wind throughout the Archipelago.

This Wednesday the island is already on yellow alert due to high temperatures, up to 36 degrees. It is expected to have a greater impact in the inland and southern areas of the island, between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Likewise, Aemet forecasts maximum temperatures of up to 37 degrees on the island for this Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., for which it has reported an orange warning. At the same time, it has announced wind gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour.

For Friday, the heat is not going to stop yet and marks maximums of up to 34 degrees in the main hours of the day, especially in southern inland areas. At that time, wind gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour will be maintained.
