Temperatures continue to rise in this second week of July in Lanzarote. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has established an orange alert for next Thursday on the island due to the rise in temperature.

The temperature will begin to rise from Wednesday, when Aemet has established a yellow alert and maximums of 34 degrees are expected.

From 10:00 a.m. and until at least 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, temperatures could reach around 37 degrees, with between 40 and 70% probability.

Aemet reveals that the risk to the population will be significant, especially in the most affected areas: the interior and the south of the island of volcanoes.
