San Francisco Javier neighbors plant a garden - habitat

A group of 20 people planted a native flora habitat garden this Sunday at one of the entrances to the capital's San Francisco Javier neighborhood.

In total, the residents managed to plant 15 sweet Tabaibas (Euphorbia balsamifera), 5 Veroles (Kleinia neriifolia), 5 Matorriscos (Lavandula pinnata) and a Cardón (Euphorbia canariensis). This plantation is part of the challenges #NeighborhoodsOfBiodiversity and #RewildingArrecifeRevolution, promoted by the association Arrecife Natura.

The people who participated in the planting of this habitat garden have committed to "care for, water and continue adding more native plants so that this space in the neighborhood becomes a garden of Canarian biodiversity."

Arrecife Natura, the Lanzarote Botanical Garden and Doctor Chris Thorogood, from the University of Oxford, have participated in this initiative. In addition, different institutions such as the Department of Parks and Gardens of the Arrecife City Council and the Cabildo de Lanzarote have also collaborated, who have donated different native plants. PreZero España and Beneke have also collaborated.
