A flight from Brussels to Lanzarote has been diverted to Gran Canaria due to the storm. The commander of the plane has decided not to land in Guacimeta, as reported by Aena in the Canary Islands.

From Aena they insist that the airport is operating "normally" and that the weather is affecting flights "more en route" than at the aerodromes. In this sense, it has reported that this plane from Brussels has been diverted by decision of the pilot.

The storm that is hitting the Canary Islands has also caused some delays. At noon, a plane from Tenerife North was due to arrive in Guacimeta, but it has suffered a delay at the airport of origin.

The meteorological station that the State Meteorological Agency has installed at the Lanzarote airport has registered gusts of between 58 and 52 kilometers per hour this Wednesday at noon.
