Upon arriving at the establishment, the officers observed a woman lying on the floor unconscious, looking very pale, because she had choked after ingesting a piece of food, lacking oxygen and having her airways obstructed.

Immediately, one of the civil guards attended to the affected woman, performing the Heimlich maneuver, managing to get the woman to expel a piece of meat, and realizing that she was also suffering a respiratory arrest, the same guard quickly performed resuscitation maneuvers, blowing air into her mouth, managing after several attempts to get the woman to recover and begin to breathe normally.

Subsequently, medical personnel from the Red Cross and the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene, transferring this person to the General Hospital for a medical examination, being identified as Joanne G., 70 years old, a tourist on vacation in Lanzarote and of British nationality.
