A dog was run over last Monday by a bicycle in the Arrecife Theme Park, causing several severe injuries.
The owner has contacted La Voz to denounce "the lack of lighting" in the area, assuring that it has been three weeks "without light inside the park", with lighting only in the area where the tent is located. In addition, she adds that there has been no lighting in the outside area for "four years", and that they have even "removed the lampposts".
"It's chaotic", denounces this neighbor, who affirms that they orient themselves "by the reflection". Regarding the bicycle, she explains that it did not have a light, although she considers that she could not see the dog due to the absence of lighting in the area. However, the owner declares that the dog was tied with its regulation walking leash.
The dog suffered considerable injuries after the impact with the bicycle, causing a fracture in two ribs, which has caused a pleural effusion "with possible pulmonary hematoma", with the consequent "severe respiratory failure", as reflected in the veterinarian's report.
