The Research Support Unit of the Lanzarote Health Area Management has announced the first edition of the Research Awards and Grants for professionals and residents of the Management.

This initiative was born with the main objective of promoting multidisciplinary research in the health field, rewarding and supporting those professionals of the Management and residents of Medicine and Nursing who contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and clinical practice through their research projects and works.

Likewise, it is about giving visibility and dissemination to the contributions of researchers in the health field, encouraging the scientific culture in professionals and residents of the Management and promoting network research between groups from different hospital areas and other institutions.

Modalities of the call

This first call has two modalities. On the one hand, the awards for the best research projects registered in the Clinical Commission for Research, Teaching and Continuing Education in 2024 have been proposed, a category that will reward the most outstanding projects in terms of innovation and relevance. The economic endowment of this modality is 2,500 euros, which will be distributed among the selected works.

On the other hand, the call includes grants for the participation and dissemination of research projects in the field of congresses. This modality is intended to support the presentation of research at congresses and meetings of a scientific nature, thus facilitating the dissemination and exchange of knowledge. It will also have an endowment of 2,500 euros, which will be distributed among the winners.

The granting of aid to research projects contemplates the different health areas, from Primary Care, Specialized Care and the non-assistance area.

Professionals and residents interested in this call must submit their projects within the established deadlines, ensuring that they comply with all the requirements detailed in the call's rules.
