Aena announced this Friday that it has put out to tender the soundproofing actions in more than 400 homes in the vicinity of the César Manrique airport in Lanzarote.
Through a statement, the state company has also explained that 150 properties will be added later, waiting for the documentation to be completed, the appropriate acoustic measurements to be made and compliance with the planned conditions to be verified.
The coordination group of the Acoustic Insulation Plan of the César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport met this Thursday with representatives of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, the State Air Safety Agency, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Aena and the town councils of Arrecife, San Bartolomé and Tías.
Currently, the census of homes and buildings of sensitive use included in this Plan is 1,062 properties, and to date a total of 661 applications have been received.
Aena has recalled that the actions are carried out in homes and buildings of sensitive use (health, educational or cultural centers) that are within the Acoustic Easement of the airport and that have a continuous sound level equivalent to 60 decibels (dB) during the day or afternoon, and/or 50 dB at night and with a construction license prior to its approval on September 28, 2021.
