The perpetrators of the crime of Juan Carlos Tejera made sure that the body could not be found at first glance, covering it with different materials and disguising the removed earth. La Voz de Lanzarote has also learned that the Police are checking the fingerprints of at least three different people, which were found in the deceased's vehicle.
The body of Juan Carlos Tejera was found this Saturday in the Argana rubble by one of the guide dogs of the Canine Unit of Gran Canaria of the National Police. The body was in a difficult to access area and appeared handcuffed and with signs of having been beaten. This Tuesday, La Voz has also learned that his murderers took great pains to cover him.
According to sources close to the investigation, the perpetrators of the crime took advantage of an area where there was a hollow made with the blade of an excavator to introduce the corpse. They then placed several pieces of wood and, on top of them, a plastic. This ensured that the sand that they later poured on top remained in place, preventing gaps or holes that could be suspicious and facilitate the discovery when the search for Tejera began. On top of that last layer of sand they threw rubble and garbage, thus disguising the removed earth.
