The Civil Guard has accused two of the 37 immigrants from the boat that arrived around 07:15 this Monday at the port of the Granadilla Industrial Estate, in Tenerife, as alleged responsible for its handling as skippers and accused of a crime against the rights of workers, reported the Armed Institute.

They are all men and of sub-Saharan origin and have already been transferred to the Civil Guard post in Granadilla to begin identification procedures, for later transfer to the Foreigner Internment Center (CIE) of Hoya Fría.

After being located, the immigrants were assisted in an initial medical examination by personnel from the Canary Islands Health Service and two of them were transferred to a hospital center in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with symptoms of hypothermia.

The boat used is thirteen meters long, was propelled by two engines and built of wood with fiber reinforcement, specifies the Civil Guard Communication Office.
