The Emergency Consortium has had to participate in the rescue of two people in the municipality of Yaza.
The first of them took place in Playa Quemada. A man who was in the sea had suffered the displacement or breakage of a knee prosthesis. Some people who were there took him out of the water and had alerted the CECOES. Agents from the Local Police, an ambulance from the SUC and the Consortium went to the scene.
The SUC technician also activated the medicalized unit so that they could administer analgesics since it was impossible to evacuate the injured person, as a result of the pain he was experiencing. The firefighters placed him on the spinal board with a splint and a blanket, to immobilize the knee and then on the nest stretcher he was taken to the ambulance where he was transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
Later, around 2:00 p.m., the CECOES was alerted because a woman had suffered a fall on the top of Montaña Roja. Agents from the Local Police, an ambulance and the Emergency Consortium went to the scene.
It was an English woman who had a possible ankle sprain. The firefighters immobilized her ankle with a splint, placed her on the NEST stretcher and transferred her to Romeo 2 and from there to Montaña Baja street where the SUC ambulance was located for her evacuation to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
