Two new boats intercepted north of Lanzarote

A total of 67 people were traveling in the boats, eight of them minors

Two new boats have been intercepted by Salvamar this Wednesday night. According to the Emergency Consortium, one of them was north of the island and the other 15 miles northeast.

A total of 34 people were traveling in one of the boats, of which 25 are men and three women. In addition, six minors were traveling. 

The other boat had 33 people, 31 men and two minors. 

Therefore, in total, 67 people were rescued by Salvamar in waters near Lanzarote. 

With these two boats, there are a total of five boats that have arrived near the coasts of Lanzarote in less than 24 hours.
