A woman and her two children were admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital this Tuesday with stab wounds, as confirmed to La Voz by the Security and Emergency Coordinating Center. The Judicial Police unit of the Costa Teguise Civil Guard has already launched an investigation into what happened, although sources close to the case suggest that the woman may have self-injured.
The events took place in a house in Arrieta, where the Canary Islands Emergency Service had to send ambulances and healthcare personnel to attend to the woman and her children, who are minors. All of them had stab wounds and this Wednesday they remained hospitalized. In the case of the children, they are apparently only under observation and their injuries are not serious.
In addition to the woman and the two minors, some sources indicate that there may have been other family members in the house when the events occurred. Now, the Haría City Council is waiting to know the evolution of the investigation to see if its intervention with the minors is necessary, once they are discharged from the hospital.
