The Tías Town Hall will observe a minute of silence at 9 a.m. this Thursday, October 13, at the
doors of the Consistory as a sign of mourning for the victim
and as an express rejection of gender violence, following the death this
morning in Puerto del Carmen of a woman allegedly at the hands of her husband,
who has confessed to the crime.
This Wednesday, the mayor of Tías, José Francisco Hernández, communicated with
members of all political forces represented in the Consistory in order
for them to be aware of this initiative. Similarly, the Councilor for
Human Resources, Aroa Pérez, contacted representatives of the workers
of the Town Hall to convey the same to their colleagues as they join their jobs and can thus join the minute of silence.
On behalf of the Tías Town Hall, the mayor, José Francisco Hernández, expresses
his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and strongly condemns
gender violence.
