The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise has solved a crime of robbery with force in things committed in a house in Tahíche at the beginning of the month, arresting three people as alleged perpetrators. Two of them, according to the Benemérita, traveled from Gran Canaria to commit the robbery, while the third is a resident of Lanzarote.
The agents began the investigation after the complaint filed by the victim, who informed the Civil Guard that someone had forced a window of his chalet and that, after accessing its interior, had stolen various jewels and the amount of 1,500 euros in cash from inside.
The Civil Guard began the investigation based first on the physical description of one of the alleged perpetrators, provided by the Local Police of Teguise, as well as the vehicle used to escape from the scene.
As a result of these data and the police investigations subsequently carried out by the agents of the Investigation Area, it was learned that three people would have participated in the robbery, "two of them displaced from the island of Gran Canaria only for the commission of the crime and the third resident on the island of Lanzarote, who presumably facilitated the location of the address where to commit the robbery", according to the Civil Guard.
The Civil Guard is working on the recovery of the jewels
After the request of the Investigation Area, the two people residing on the island of Gran Canaria, with initials D.M.L. and C.O.S.R. and 25 and 24 years of age respectively, both of Spanish nationality and with police records, were arrested by the Heritage Team of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police (UOPJ) of Las Palmas on May 10.
The third arrest was carried out by agents of the Investigation Area of the Main Post of Costa Teguise on May 14, being a man with initials A.G.P. and 21 years of age, of Spanish nationality and lacking police records to date. The Civil Guard affirms that it is still working on the recovery of the jewels, leaving the detainees at the disposal of the corresponding Court, in guard functions, of Arrecife.
