Two women and a man were injured to varying degrees in the collision of two vehicles on the LZ-2 from Tías to Puerto del Carmen. One of the vehicles overturned due to the impact, leaving its driver trapped inside.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:24 p.m. this Friday, December 31, when CECOES alerted of the collision. Two ambulances, one medicalized and one basic life support, from the Canary Emergency Service, the Security Consortium, Civil Guard, and Civil Protection, were dispatched to the scene.
The firefighters from the Consortium were in charge of freeing the driver of the overturned vehicle so that he could be assisted as he had serious injuries. The affected individual is a 56-year-old man who, at the initial time of assistance, had multiple injuries. Once assisted by the healthcare personnel, he was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The other two injured are two women, 29 years old and 27 years old, who, at the initial time of assistance, had some minor injuries. They were evacuated in the basic life support ambulance to the Hospital.
Civil Protection and Local Police of Tías collaborated with the health and security services. For its part, the Civil Guard instructed the corresponding proceedings.
