Around 10:00 in the morning this Thursday, the two detainees in the case of the death of Yunaisy, a 6-month-old baby, who lost her life on January 5 in the capital's El Charco neighborhood, left the National Police cells, where they had been since last Sunday.

After spending all day Wednesday in the Courts of Puerto del Rosario, the judge in charge of the case chose to keep the detainees in the cells for one more day to continue with the proceedings on Thursday. However, shortly afterwards she ordered the imprisonment of the 2 young men, aged 18 and 20, allegedly responsible for the baby's death.

Both Inmaculada V.G. and Yeray G.P. have already been transferred to the cells of the Local Police of Puerto del Rosario where they will remain until they are transferred to the Tahiche penitentiary center, Arrecife, a transfer that could take place this Friday due to the fact that maritime connections between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote remain suspended due to the windstorm.

The alleged perpetrators of the death of the 6-month-old baby were arrested last Sunday by agents of the National Police after discovering evidence of guilt in the investigations carried out.
