The two people who died in the accident that occurred early Wednesday morning in Playa Blanca were employees of the Hiperdino in Playa Blanca, according to La Provincia. It was the 35-year-old driver of the vehicle who died at the scene, and one of the 23-year-old companions who died hours later at the Molina Orosa.
In addition, two of the four injured who are in the hospital also belong to the supermarket staff in the tourist town.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:19 a.m. on Wednesday, when the vehicle they were traveling in crashed into a palm tree at the entrance to the Marina Rubicón roundabout. Firefighters had to intervene to free the occupants of the vehicle, who had been trapped inside due to the condition of the car.
The other injured were a 26-year-old woman who suffered serious multiple injuries, a 19-year-old woman who suffered a fractured elbow and ankle, a 25-year-old man with moderate multiple contusions, and a 20-year-old man who presented moderate multiple contusions.
The Yaiza Local Police, for their part, proceeded to carry out the report to find out what caused the accident and why the car, with five seats, was occupied by six people.
