The Local Police of Tías intercepted an isothermal truck with perishable merchandise in poor condition. The events occurred when the Agents were proceeding to report an isothermal truck badly parked on Avenida de las Playas de Puerto del Carmen and realized that, although the truck was still running while the driver was delivering, the cold engine was turned off.
Once the driver appeared on the scene, he was required to open the rear door of the truck, and a large quantity of perishable products such as French fries, sausages, bacon, bread, butter, chicken wings, peas, could be found inside at room temperature, when all these products should have been ultra-frozen so that the cold chain was not lost. (245 kilograms in total, approximately)
The Public Health Inspection Technicians went to the site, and after analyzing the articles, they decided to move the vehicle with all its merchandise to the Zonzamas environmental complex for destruction.
The driver of the vehicle was also reported for the described events through the Transportation Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
