The Local Police of Tías, in collaboration with agents from the Civil Guard's investigation area, have arrested four people in ten days accused of various criminal offenses. The arrests took place between June 21 and July 1, according to a statement.

The first arrest occurred on June 2, when J.R.B., of British nationality, was arrested. According to the police, this man entered a store and, after the clerk was distracted, allegedly stole a valuable mobile phone, valued at more than 500 euros. In this case, the events took place in Puerto del Carmen.

Later, on June 25, the police arrested a woman, of Nigerian origin, with the initials O.I. The day before, the arrested woman, according to the agents, "took advantage of her victim's carelessness to steal 600 in cash from her pocket" in the middle of the night.

In addition, on June 30, the agents proceeded to arrest J.J.C.G., a native of Colombia, who was accused of a robbery with force. According to the police in this statement, a call alerted the agents to the commission of a theft in a house in the Puerto Calero area on the 15th. This man had allegedly stolen various and valuable electronic objects, as well as belongings from this house. After his arrest, part of the objects were recovered by the police.

Finally, on July 1, the police arrested a man, of Moroccan origin, as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery, after receiving several reports of thefts in hotel complexes in the municipality. The arrested man is accused of using "a lock pick to force the door of an apartment" in a tourist area. According to the police, "he stole several mobile phones, cash and other belongings."

All detainees were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
