The Local Police of Arrecife informs that agents of its Documentoscopy Unit (UDOC), have intervened a Volkswagen Golf tourism vehicle with an Italian license plate on which there was a European requisition for seizure issued by the Schengen Information System of Italy.
The events occurred when the agents, during a preventive control, stopped the aforementioned vehicle, proceeding to check the documentation of the vehicle and the identity of its occupant, verifying, after carrying out the appropriate consultations, that there was a European requisition in force on the vehicle.
After instructing the appropriate procedures, these events were brought to the attention of the judicial authority, as well as the SIRENE Office – International Cooperation Division of the General Directorate of the Police, with the vehicle remaining at the disposal of the court.
