The police operation carried out this Thursday at the 'La Oveja Verde' cannabis club in Arrecife resulted in four arrests, who are accused of a crime against public health, as confirmed by the TSJC. The detainees were going to testify this Friday before the judge, but finally it has been postponed to this Saturday.

According to the TSCJ, it is being investigated "if the center could have been carrying out activities that exceed those authorized by law to this type of establishment." Specifically, there are indications that the establishment could "be marketing illegal substances." In the operation, according to reports, "various amounts of hashish, marijuana, cannabis derivatives, money and weighing tools were seized."

It should be remembered that the operation was carried out by agents of the Judicial Brigade of the National Police and the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit (USCI) by court order and that, according to sources close to the police, it was under seal.

In recent months, this cannabis club located on Peñas del Chache street in the capital had been the subject of neighborhood complaints about the "unbearable" smell of marijuana that they claimed was coming from the premises and, according to La Voz has learned, also had an open file in the Arrecife City Council for other alleged breaches.
