The Civil Guard of Lanzarote assisted on September 14 to a person who intended to take his own life in Tinajo. The device was coordinated after a location device in the area, which allowed to find the affected person after running up the mountain where it was spotted.
The Civil Guard of San Bartolomé received a notice from an acquaintance of the affected person, communicating that she had conveyed her intentions to end her own life being in imminent risk in a cliff area of Tinajo, the exact place being unknown.
Given the seriousness of the situation, the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé, which was in a security device due to the local festivities, coordinated with the available means immediately a search device in the vicinity of the place indicated by the alerting person, in order to achieve the earliest location of the woman before the possible fatal outcome.
In addition, with the help of a helicopter from the Government of the Canary Islands that was flying over the area due to the Fiestas de los Dolores and Emerlan, they provided the possible data so that one of the patrols that made up the search device would quickly undertake on foot up the mountain, being able to see in the distance a person with difficulty since, due to the orography of the terrain, could only be seen in intermittent periods.
Once located, the Civil Guard hurriedly accessed on foot to the place, and avoided the death of this person just at the moment in which he showed his intention to take his own life, being assisted and attended by the required emergency services.
