The boat located 15 miles from Lanzarote with 43 immigrants, including a woman who had given birth during the voyage, has already been rescued by Maritime Rescue and transferred to Puerto Naos. On the boat, as La Voz has been able to verify, there were also several young children, in addition to the newborn, who has been cared for by the health services.

It was an NGO that warned that the boat had been lost since last Sunday, after which it was located this Wednesday 15 miles west of Lanzarote. The Salvamar Altair vessel and the Helimer 204 traveled to the area to coordinate the rescue and assess whether it was necessary to carry out an aerial evacuation.

Finally, the immigrants have been intercepted and transferred in the Maritime Rescue boat to Puerto Naos, where members of the Civil Guard, National Police and Local Police are located, as well as SUC paramedics and Red Cross volunteers attending to the immigrants.
