Civil Guard agents of the Investigation Team of the Tías Post, in collaboration with other members of the aforementioned Unit, have completed an operation related to the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances in Lanzarote. The investigations focused on two people who were engaged in the sale of drugs both in recreation areas and in the home they shared.
As La Voz had reported, a device composed of a dozen civil guards carried out a search, at about ten o'clock on Thursday morning, in a building located on Colombia Street in the town of Arrecife. A spectacular device that surprised many residents of the capital, who saw how the agents took a couple into custody, and took various materials out of the building.
However, until this Friday the Civil Guard has not closed the operation, as investigations continued, which have resulted in the seizure of 232.1 grams of hashish, 6 grams of cocaine and 103.4 grams of an undetermined substance intended for cutting drugs.
Likewise, throughout this operation, a large number of objects intended for the preparation and weighing of drugs were seized, as well as others whose origin is from various robberies committed on the island of Lanzarote, and among which were photographic cameras, video cameras, several DVDs and a rewriter, video game consoles, two laptops, 16 mobile phones, two television screens and other electronic items, as well as a large number of watches and jewelry, valued at more than 50,000 euros.
Inside the house were also found 650 euros in banknotes, 300 pounds in American Express checks and various currencies without being able to specify their value, and several items to commit robberies, in addition to a significant amount of ammunition, including a box with 25 12-gauge cartridges, 4 12-gauge cartridges with buckshot, two boxes of 50 22-gauge cartridges, 12 9-short-gauge cartridges, 3 38-gauge cartridges, a 20 mm projectile, 4 22-gauge cartridges and two undetermined cartridges.
