The Investigating Court Number 1 of Arrecife, acting as duty judge, has ordered provisional imprisonment for the man accused of a crime of sexual assault against an 18-year-old girl in Arrecife. The events occurred on Monday around 7:00 p.m. in the Altavista neighborhood.
This man, a resident of Lanzarote with a criminal record for similar crimes, approached the young woman on the street and took her to a vacant lot to allegedly sexually abuse her. Luckily, a young minor observed what was happening and quickly notified the National Police.
The agents immediately went to the scene and surprised this man "in fraganti", who was arrested. A Court of Arrecife later ordered the entry of this person into the Tahíche Penitentiary Center.
