The youth organization of the Popular Party has demanded "more cleaning" in La Graciosa, after La Voz received a complaint from a neighbor who complained about the existence of garbage and debris in the streets of Caleta de Sebo. The young people of New Generations believe that the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, should focus his efforts on "eradicating the black spots that exist on the island of La Graciosa and in other parts of the municipality, such as the beach of Famara, which still lacks an effective cleaning service".

In this sense, they point out that while the Councilor for Festivities was selling in FITUR "the tourist benefits of La Graciosa, its mayor forgot and overlooked that there are several uncontrolled landfills", as demonstrated by the images published by La Voz, sent by a reader.

The young popular demand the mayor and his government team to "stop so much photo, so much gesture and so much smoke and focus their efforts on solving the real problems of the citizens of Teguise and especially of La Graciosa".

"It is necessary that the highest municipal authority become aware that keeping our protected spaces clean is essential for the conservation of the environment and the proper development of tourism", says Juan Rivera, president of the New Generations of the PP in Lanzarote.

From New Generations they highlight "the patrimonial, ecological and tourist value that the Island of La Graciosa contains" and, therefore, they "earnestly" request the government group of CC and PSOE to "get to work to solve and eradicate the uncontrolled landfills that exist on said island and in other parts of the municipality of Teguise".
