This Thursday, April 20, pieces of meat with screws have been found as an animal trap in the area of Las Coloradas in Playa Blanca.
The Yaiza City Council warns of the danger that these traps placed in Strelitzia street may pose to animals: "Be very careful for people who walk with their pets in the area."
Apparently, "a lady called them" to inform them and then, they advised her to "report it to the Police", says Águeda Cedrés, councilor of the Animal Protection area.
According to Cedrés, "it's the first time something like this has happened." To publicize the seriousness, "we have announced it on Facebook" and made it "known to the neighbors." Something essential so that people "are prepared" in this regard, she makes clear.
Faced with this "horrible" act, for the moment, "there has been no incident that we know of," they tell us.
