The operation that led the National Police to search a house in the Las Terrazas del Puerto apartment complex in Puerto del Carmen last Friday resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of drug trafficking and possession of prohibited weapons.
According to the police force, the arrested man ran a business in Puerto del Carmen, where he allegedly sold narcotics. Several compressed air weapons, a homemade prohibited weapon, ammunition, a precision scale, 12.8 grams of cocaine, 2 kilograms of hashish, 11 kilograms of marijuana and 1,949 euros have been seized in the searches carried out. In addition, eight kilograms of cookies allegedly cooked with narcotics were also seized. 
The National Police, in the constant controls on the black spots of sales of narcotics carried out, detected a possible point of sale of drugs in a commercial premises of Puerto del Carmen. From there, an individual allegedly sold narcotics to numerous consumers who came to the place.
The police investigation allowed to identify "unequivocally" a 43-year-old man, with a police record, who ran the business, as the alleged seller of narcotics.
Searches in different locations
With the mandatory court order, the agents carried out several searches in different locations, where several compressed air weapons (carbine and submachine gun), a homemade prohibited weapon, ammunition, a precision scale, 12.8 grams of cocaine, two kilograms of hashish, 11 kilograms of marijuana and 1,949 euros were seized. In addition, eight kilograms of cookies allegedly cooked with narcotics were also seized.
The police operation ended with the arrest of a man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of drug trafficking and possession of prohibited weapons. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
