The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium has had to carry out several interventions in the early hours of this Monday due to several fires in containers and vehicles in different streets of Playa Honda. One of them affected a house.
The first one took place around 04:00 hours on Merlín street. In addition to the firefighters, agents from the Local Police and the Civil Guard were also dispatched. It was a container fire that affected a vehicle, and it had a fuel spill with intentions of spreading to subsequent vehicles. The firefighters extinguished the fire with water.
A few minutes later, another container fire occurred on Faina street, at the corner of Foque street. When the firefighters arrived, they found that it also affected another vehicle and the pergola of a house. The firefighters verified that there was no one in the house and proceeded to extinguish it with water and foam.
And finally, the Consortium had to go to extinguish another fire on Velamen street. On this occasion, it was a glass deposit and another organic waste container whose flames affected a motorhome and another vehicle.
And the last fire took place on the road to the beaches where the fire of two organic containers and another of shoes was extinguished. The Local Police and the Civil Guard were also at the scene.
