Woman Batuca is in mourning after the death of one of its members, Rosario Rocío Martín, who died unexpectedly this Tuesday. Her colleagues sent messages of affection, lamenting the death of the vice president of the women's batucada group of Lanzarote: "You already shone here. Drum rolls to the sky."
The group has shown support to the family of the deceased. From its official Facebook account, Woman Batuca highlights Rosario's "illuminating smile full of goodness".
Her group has not been the only one to speak out. The world of batucadas on the islands has come out to show their condolences. "Today we woke up with very sad news," announced the palmero group Olodrum. For its part, the batucada of Gran Canaria, Samba Isleña, has also offered its condolences to Woman Batuca for its deceased member.
