The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise has arrested five people between May 16 and 23, as alleged perpetrators of two robberies with force committed at the end of last year at the headquarters of an association for the care of people with disabilities in Lanzarote, from where they stole different electronic devices and cash.

Last October, the center's staff reported a robbery committed during a weekend, where two mobile phones and a cash box containing 300 euros, which corresponded to the collection from the sale of Christmas lottery to date, had been stolen from the premises.

The agents of the Investigation Area, after inspecting the scene of the robbery, were able to observe that the premises had been accessed by forcing the windows with a blunt object, which aggravates the crime that was committed.

One of the stolen mobiles was used by two people

After collecting the different evidence gathered at the crime scene, the Civil Guard began a series of police investigations that allowed them to track down the stolen telephones, verifying months later - after receiving the appropriate expert reports - how one of them had been used on different occasions by two people.

Specifically, the Civil Guard observed how the telephone had been used hours later by a person with initials I.D., of foreign nationality and 56 years of age, who was arrested on May 16 as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force in the objects. In addition, they were able to verify that the same telephone was used a month after its theft by another person, with initials F.D.K., 47 years of age and of Spanish nationality, who was also arrested on May 16 as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of receiving stolen goods.

While investigating the first robbery described, the Civil Guard collected another complaint for similar events that occurred in the same center, this time committed between November 15 and 16.

Three people arrested for the second robbery

On this occasion, the perpetrators again forced one of the windows of the aforementioned center, stealing on this occasion two mobile phones, a digital camera, also forcing two vending machines and stealing the collection from them

After carrying out the inspection at the scene of the robbery, the agents were able to obtain several clues that allowed them to identify several people related to this new robbery, arresting three people, with initials K.S.H., R.P.P. and B.A.M.M. all of foreign nationality and with ages between 29 and 31 years old, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in the things.

The five alleged perpetrators have been placed at the disposal of the Courts of First Instance and Instruction of Arrecife.
