The firefighters extinguished the fire that occurred in the house of an apartment in a building in Arrecife. The event took place around 7:32 p.m. this Friday. A call alerted the Cecoes of the fire that had 
occurred in a home on Alfredo Cabrera Tavío street. Local Police officers evacuated the building and cordoned off the area to guarantee safety.
As explained by the Emergency Consortium, "Upon our arrival we verified that the butane bottle was burning and part of the kitchen furniture, so we proceeded to remove the bottle from the fire and extinguish the flame coming out of it." Once the fire was extinguished, the firefighters controlled the gas leak from the bottle by placing it on the balcony of the house.
