Emerlan rescued on Friday night a boat that had "lost steering and was adrift" after departing from Playa Blanca.
The NGO's personnel were alerted around 10:45 p.m. that the zodiac-type boat, six meters in length, was "a short distance from the coast, with the consequent risk."
Thus, a rescue boat was immediately activated, which located the zodiac, with a single occupant on board, near the Quíquere Ravine (Tías). Emerlan towed the zodiac to the Puerto del Carmen dock.
