The Lanzarote Airport is experiencing moderate to high delays this Tuesday morning due to south wind and haze, as reported by the official website Eurocontrol.

For the moment, the Aena website, which collects flights departing from or arriving at the César Manrique Airport, registers slight delays, of a few minutes, in most inter-island, national and international flights.

However, Eurocontrol already warns that the island's air traffic may suffer moderate to large delays due to adverse weather conditions.

The haze and wind have been affecting the island's aerodrome since early this Tuesday morning, according to the 04.40 am update from Eurocontrol.

The airline Binter is experiencing delays in several of its flights departing from Lanzarote and destined for Gran Canaria, with delays of half an hour in three crossings. Meanwhile, the island's connection with Tenerife is also experiencing a half-hour delay in one of its flights.

The shipping companies Líneas Romero and the smaller Fred Olsen ferries, which connect Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) with Corralejo (Fuerteventura), have had to interrupt the usual departures between both islands due to wind and waves. Meanwhile, the larger Fred Olsen ferries and the company Naviera Armas, which offers the same service, maintain their trips.
