This Friday a dead cow has appeared on La Garita beach in Arrieta, according to the Lanzarote Emergency and Security Consortium,
After being alerted, a team from the Consortium has moved to the sand. Upon arriving at the place, the firefighters have found a cow on the beach in an advanced state of putrefaction.
The emergency teams have proceeded to place it in a suitable bag and, later, it has been removed with the assistance of a crane.
It is not the first time that the corpse of a cow has floated to the coasts of Lanzarote, in summer two appeared, one in La Graciosa and another near Las Cucharas beach in Costa Teguise.
Usually these animals are thrown overboard from the boats that transport them in the high seas.
