National Police agents have arrested a 46-year-old man of foreign nationality, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health in Arrecife. 4 packets of heroin were seized from him.

The intervention took place when the police agents, in plain clothes, who were patrolling the area, observed two men "carrying out some type of exchange", which led them to decide to "stop them". One of them told them that he was a drug addict and that he was buying drugs from the other man.

"In the security check carried out on the alleged seller, four packets of heroin were found in his shirt pocket," explains the police force. When asked about the origin of the drugs, this man told the Police that "he sells drugs to make a living, which is why he is being arrested."

After the corresponding police report was prepared, it was sent to the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered his release on charges. The police intervention was carried out by agents assigned to the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
